Harts Sanatorium.
Dr. J. Crawford reports as follows:—
In 1935 the number of patients discharged (deaths included)
was 150 (87 males, 57 females, 6 children).
Of these, 107 were insured (78 M., 29 F.) and 43 non-insured,
(9 M. 28 F. 6 Ch.).
Deaths: 27 (18 M. 8 F. 1 Ch.).
Average duration of treatment: 29.725 weeks.
No. of patient days: 27,932.
No. of beds available at end of year: 80.
Average No. of beds occupied: 76.5 (95.62%).
Of the ,150 cases discharged, 2 were admitted for observation
(1 M. 1 Ch.), one male was discharged non-tuberculous, and the
child tuberculous.
Immediate Results of Treatment.
Discharged "Quiescent": 51 (33 M. 17 F. 1 Ch.).
Discharged "Non-quiescent": 70 (35 M. 32 F. 3 Ch.).
Of the latter cases there were: "Improved" 57 (28 M. 27 F.
2 Ch.); "Not improved" 13 (7 M. 5 F. 1 Ch.).
One non-pulmonary female is included in the "Improved"
number.
