for the preceding year. The number of deaths was 45, equivalent
to a case mortality of 11.8 per cent. There is no change in the
arrangements for the supplying of antitoxin to Medical
Practitioners as outlined in previous reports.
Schick Immunization Clinics.
During the year 1934, 1,140 infants and children have
received three inoculations.
The total number of inoculations performed has been 3,822,
of which 1,904 were carried out at the Town Hall Clinic, 1,386
at the Maternity and Child Welfare Clinic, 460 at the Infectious
Diseases Hospital, and 72 by Private Practitioners.
The following figures are intended to indicate the number
inoculated and the age groups involved in the cases treated.
1. Town Hall Clinic.
Total number of inoculations 1,904
Number inoculated three times 584
Number inoculated twice 18
Number inoculated once 21
In addition to the above, one child was inoculated eleven
times, one child ten times, one nine, one seven, three six, four
five, and five four times.
