Smoke Abatement.
Six occurrences of factory smoke nuisance were observed
during the year, two being from the same premises. In each case
the manager and stoker were cautioned by the District Inspectors
and the nuisances abated.
Premises and Occupations controlled by Byelaws.
There is only one registered common lodging house for men
in the Borough, which is maintained in a satisfactory manner.
There are no underground sleeping rooms in East Ham.
