A number of General Practitioners have attended in person
during the year, whilst their patients have been examined at the
Clinic. Some have seen for themselves and taken the greatest
interest in the X-ray examinations of their patients, others see
for themselves the radiograms, whilst others have actively participated
in the specialised treatment of their cases by specific forms
of therapy, e.g., Sanocrysin, Tuberculin, Insulin, etc. Such close
co-operation is encouraged to the fullest extent, and this opportunity
is taken of acknowledging this co-operation of many General
Practitioners in the Borough.
Consultations at Homes of Patients.
During the year, 98 visits to patients who were too ill to attend
the Clinic have been made to their own homes. In 53 of these
cases the patient's own doctor was present, thus maintaining close

Acknowledgment is made of the help and courtesy received
from the Staffs of the various Hospitals in the interests of the
Council's patients.

of uncomplicated Asbestosis. However, since then, periodic
observation has shown that the tuberculosis risk in Asbestosis,
contrary to the earlier impressions of several observers, has to be
seriously reckoned with. In our series several cases have, more
