Mortuaries.
There are two mortuaries. The central mortuary at High
Street South, and the second at North Woolwich.
Both buildings are under the control of a mortuary keeper
and are kept in a satisfactory condition.
There have been 71 bodies admitted and 56 post-mortem
examinations held during the year.
Common Lodging Houses.
There is only one common lodging house in the Borough, with
accommodation for 42 beds, situated in Albert Road, North
Woolwich. It is regularly visited and on no occasion has it been
necessary to serve any notice or complain of nuisance.
