NOTIFIABLE INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
1,257 cases of Infectious Disease were notified during the
year as against 1,173 in the previous year.
Small Pox.
No case was notified during the year.
Scarlet Fever.
499 cases of this disease were notified during the year as
against 677 cases in 1914.
10 deaths occurred from the disease, giving a death-rate of
0.07 as compared with 0.05 for the year 1914.
Diphtheria.
204 cases of this disease were notified during the year, with
16 deaths.
319 cases were notified in 1914, with 27 deaths.
Enteric Fever.
5 cases of Enteric (Typhoid) Fever were notified. There were
3 deaths.
Erysipelas.
96 cases of Erysipelas were notified as against 130 cases in
1914. 5 deaths occurred.
Ophthalmia Neonatorum.
During the year 16 cases were notified.
Puerperal Fever.
4 cases of this disease were notified as against 4 cases in 191,4.
2 deaths occurred.
Epidemic Cerebro-Spinal Meningitis.
8 cases of this disease (commonly known as Spotted Fever)
were notified, 4 of which proved fatal.
