Boundary Stones.
On 20th July, 1897, the General Purposes and Works Committee reported having met
the Deptford Overseers and having jointly perambulated the boundary of the Parishes of
St. Paul, Deptford, and St. Mary, Rotherhithe, and examined the condition of the various
boundary stones, and having mutually agreed, subject to the approval of the Vestry, as
under:—
To place two iron posts next two boundary stones in the Docks, the tops of the stones in
question being nearly level with;the ground.
To re-cut two stones in Yeoman Street.
To re-cut two stones in the pavement in Croft Street.
To re-cut and paint one stone in the rear of Messrs. Crookenden's premises in the Lower
Road, and to replace and re-cut another.
To re-cut one stone in the pavement by the entrance to Messrs. Crookenden's.
To deface the stone in Leigh Cottage, Midway Place, the description of the boundary
being wrong.
To place a stone in the rear of No. 2, Oldfield Road.
To re-cut stone in rear of No. 1, Alpine Road, Deptford.
To place a stone in the back addition of No. 22, Eugenia Road, and
To re-cut stone in Whitepost Lane.
The before-mentioned work to be carried out by the Rotherhithe Vestry, and the cost
thereof equally divided between the two Parishes.
This was approved by the Vestry.
