NORTHERN CONVALESCENT HOSPITAL
This important hospital, at Winchmore Hill, contains
accommodation for 480 patients convalescing from scarlet
fever, enteric fever, and diphtheria. The hospital has not yet
attained its full dimensions, but the Managers have resolved,
with the approval of the Local Government Board, to make
provision for future enlargement, by providing additional
accommodation for the staff, by the extension of the
Administrative Buildings. The plans make provision not
only for the present requirements, but also for any extra staff
which may be required for four additional Pavilions, for the
accommodation of patients, and which could be erected on
the Hospital site without overcrowding. The plans provide
for extra sleeping accommodation and bath rooms: additional
mess room accommodation: sitting rooms; and a general
recreation room, etc.
THE NORTH - WESTERN HOSPITAL.
This hospital, a temporary structure, will, ere long, be
rebuilt in a permanent form. The Managers' architects
have already prepared plans of a new Administrative Block,
bath-rooms, discharge and receiving blocks, &c.. which will
provide for a staff calculated for a hospital of 600 patients, at
an approximate estimated cost of £25,500. It is proposed to
provide, ultimately., 22 wards, each containing 20 beds, viz.;
18 for scarlet fever, 3 for diphtheria, and one for enteric
fever.
WESTERN FEVER HOSPITAL, FULHAM.

the needs of the unions and parishes in the West District
allocated to it. It has been shewn, moreover, that the
