TO THE VESTRY

PARISH OF ST. MARY ABBOTTS, KENSINGTON.

Kensington.
Gentlemen,
I beg to lay before you a short abstract of tbe Mortality
which has taken place in the Parish during the year 1860, arranged
according to the ages and causes of death, and an account of the proceedings
taken for the removal and abatement of Nuisances, and for
the general improvement of the sanitary condition of the parish.
The Mortality Tables are made up from the first week in January,
1860, to the first week in January, 1861; but the proceedings for the
abatement of nuisances extend from March', 1860, to March, 1861.
I am glad to be able, through the kindness of Mr. Cornell, the Superintendent
Register, to give you the results of the Census taken in April
last : theso Returns are not yet issued from the Registrar-General's
Office ; but I am certain they may be relied on for their accuracy.
