FOOD SAMPLING, 1957
During the year ended 31st December, 1957, 993 samples
of food and drugs (being 678 informal and 284 formal samples) were
submitted for analysis to the Public Analyst. Of these, 22 informal
samples were reported to be adulterated or otherwise not complying
with the statutory requirements giving a percentage of 2.2 compared
with 4.0 in 1956, and 5.0 in 1955. One private sample was examined
during the year.
