"Authorised sellers," i.e., pharmacists, are inspected by Inspectors appointed by
the Pharmaceutical Society, but the Borough Council are required to arrange for
the necessary inspection of all listed sellers. The Medical Officer of Health, the
Chief Sanitary Inspector, and two sanitary inspectors have been appointed as
inspectors for this purpose. The Council decided in February, 1937, to delegate
its powers under the Act to the Health Committee.
The number of names entered on the Council's list at the beginning of the
year was 91. Seven were added and four were deleted. The number at the end
of the year was 94, and there were 93 deputies approved.

under the various Acts are set out in detail in the following Table No. 30.
