Home Nursing. Eight cases were nursed at home. The
number of visits paid was 148, an average of 18 visits per
case. The cost of this service was £7 8s. Od.
ANTERIOR POLIOMYELITIS.
Four notifications were received. In two instances the
diagnosis was not confirmed. One case originally notified
as Encephalitis was diagnosed in hospital as Poliomyelitis.
In all, there were three cases during the year. The
number of cases during 1928 was two, and during 1927,
three. Nursing assistance is provided for such cases,
but was not utilised during the year. In the later stages
hospital treatment is available at Queen Mary's Hospital,
