School Clinic and the following Table (No. 56) shews the
number of cases attending and the number of attendances
during the year. These figures shew over a 200 per cent.
increase on those of 1923. Dentures are provided, either
free, at part cost, or cost, the payment by mothers being spread
over many weeks. In consequence the income during the
year included money due for dentures supplied in 1923. The
number of dentures ordered was 18 ; the number supplied, 20:
the liability incurred by the Council was £74 15s. 0d., and the

The Work of the Health Visitors. No change has taken
place in the personnel of the Health Visitors during the year.
There are eight Health Visitors, two of whom hold the combined
appointment of Sanitary Inspector and Health Visitor.
The extensive nature of their work can be seen from a study
of Table No. 57 which shews in detail the number of visits
paid by them during the year. In addition to paying these
visits they attend centres at which women and children come
for medical and hygienic advice, and arrangements have been
made whereby the Health Visitor is in attendance at the
centres serving the district in which she works. Their visits
are welcomed by the mothers.
