The Public Health Committee considered the circumstances
of the case, and having regard to the facts, decided that the
Town Clerk should write a letter to the vendor cautioning
and warning him that in the event of a repetition of the
offence proceedings would be taken.
Food Poisoning. There were no cases of food poisoning
brought to the notice of the Department during the year.
Action Taken under the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts.
Table No. 76 shews the number of the various analyses made
during the year and the result of the analyses. 3 6 per cent.
of all the samples were adulterated. In 1923, the corresponding
figure was 5.3 per cent., and in 1922, 6 per cent.
The number of samples taken on Sundays was 12, none of
which were adulterated.
