Three cows on three different occasions were purchased by
a local butcher from a dairy farmer in the district and all
were found to be affected with tuberculosis. The carcases
were destroyed In consequence of these facts the London
County Council were communicated with and one of their
veterinary inspectors examined the whole of the cows in the
various herds of the dairy farmer in question and reported
that he found no trace of tuberculosis in any of them.
In my report last year I gave details of the cost of milk
during the year. The average cost during 1921, except during
November and December when there was a considerable fall,
was little or not at all below that of the previous year. The
following are the figures for 1921:—
