SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE DISTRICT.
This part of the report, which has been largely prepared
by your Chief Sanitary Inspector, deals statistically with the
work (excepting food inspection) of the District Inspectors
and the Lady Sanitary Inspector.
Closet Accommodation. There are a few earth closets and
27 cesspools in the Borough. This is a slight increase in the
number of cesspools, and is due to the erection of houses on
the easterly slopes of Shooters Hill.
