FIFTH ANNUAL REPORT.
ON THE
HEALTH OF THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH
OF WOOLWICH.
Year ending 31st December, 1905.
PART I.
Statistics.
1. Population.—The population of the Borough to the middle
of 1905 has been estimated on the supposition that the increase
since 1901 has been proportional to that between the two last
decennial censuses, thus giving 125,885. Dividing this number
by the number of occupied houses 21,443 we get 5.87 persons per
house. The number of persons per house at the census was 6,47.
It has been supposed that the number per house in each parish
