Tuberculosis care. Committeg
The Tuberculosis Care Committee decided at their meeting in March to
extend the scope of their activities to include those patients attending
the Chest Clinic who suffer from non-tuberculous chest diseases, and for

The needs of the patients suffering from tuberculosis continue
to be the Committee's main concern, but where hardship is caused through
other chest conditions the same help will be available.
Grants were made during the year for fares to visit patients in

needs. In several cases help was given with the cost of electricity
or fuel bills, where these were exceptionally heavy owing to illnes and

The Committee provided a coach outing to Brighton for 30 patients

Whoooing Cough
Confirmed cases notified during the year numbered 113. There were
no deaths from the disease.
