Cautionary Letters
On the instructions of the Public Health Committee, cautionary
letters were issued in respect of the following contraventions:-
Sale of bread loaf containing resinous matter and charred dough.
" bread loaf containing rodent droppings.
" sweet lolly containing a metal bolt.
" minced meat containing excess quantity of preservative.
Failing to provide hot water for glass washing at a soft drinks
stall.
Margarine - Vitamin A
Four samples of margarine analysed for vitamins A and D content
were found to conform to the accepted standards.
Licensing Act. 1961
Applications for the registration of clubs under the Act are dealt
with by the Magistrates' Court, copies of the applications being sent
to the Council for any observations they may wish to make. Public
Health Inspectors visit the premises to report on their suitability as
regards the requirements of public health and food and drugs legislation.
