Inquests.
During the year 1900, inquests were held in reference to
the deaths of 61 persons, of whom 23 were residents in the Parish,
and also six inquests were held respecting the deaths of parishioners
outside the Parish.

The causes which produced death were as follows:—

Poison (Prussic Acid) suicide 1

when intoxicated 1
Pistol Shot Wounds (suicide) 3
Chloroform when undergoing an operation 1

Injuries received from a fall 2
Injuries received from falling on a fender 1
Injuries received in a boxing contest 1
Injuries received in a lift 3
Injuries received from being pushed off an
omnibus (manslaughter) 1
Injuries received from being assaulted in the
street (manslaughter) 1
Injuries received from being run over or
knocked down by vehicles in the street 3
Injuries received from being thrown from
a trap which was overturned by an
omnibus 1
Injuries received from jumping from the roof
of a house 1
Injuries received from fall from scaffold 1
