As the Vestry's Solicitor has given it as his opinion that no
proceedings conld he taken there is great need of an alteration of
the law in this respect. The difficulty of obtaining a sample
of this milk in the ordinary way being that it is only sold in
small quantities, such as farthing worths and halfpennyworths,
as purchased by the poorer class. This quantity is not sufficient
for analysis when divided into three parts as required by the Act,
and therefore the vendors cannot be reached. If a larger quantity
is asked for a different article is sold.
We are, Sir,
Yours obediently,
A. W. MARTIN,
R. ADAMS,
H. E. COX.
