As the Maternity and Child Welfare services were transferred to
the London County Council on 5th July, the following statistics in
this section of the report relate to the first six months of the
year only.
HOME VISITING.
The Health Visiting Staff consisted of a Superintendent Health
Visitor and six District Visitors The number of visits paid during
the half year was 5,455. Of these, 346 were first visits 1,511 were
subsequent visits to infants under one year and 2,236 were visits to
chilaren between 1 and 5 years of age.
ANTE-NATAL AMD POST-NATAL SUPERVISION,
Four ante-natal clinics in charge of part-time medical staff
ware held at the Model Welfare Centre, on Monday morning and afternoon
and Wednesday and Friday morning. Since 1945 post-natal cases
have also attended the ante-natal clinic.
