BACTERIOLOGICAL EXAMINATIONS.
With the exception of those carried out at the Tuberculosis Dispensary,
all the examinations made directly on behalf of the Borough Council were performed
by the Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygiene, The following
examinations were carried out
Swabs for b. diphtherias, 327; Sputum for tubercle bacilli,1; Bloods
for Kahn test, 241; Ear swab, Ij Eye swab, 1; Ice Cream, 46; Swabs for
haemolytic streptococci, 16; Stools for infective organisms, 32;
Water, 3; Bread 1, Canned Pork, 2.
INSULIN.
During the first six months of the year one person, a female, was provided
with insulin under authority given by Section 227, Public Health (London)
Act, 1936, The cost to the Council was £3 13. 6.
IV.- TUBERCULOSIS.

The following table gives details regarding the ages of notification of pulmonary and non-pulmonary cases respectively :-
