The ratio of non-notified tuberculosis deaths to total tuberculosis deaths
for the year 1931 was 1 to 4 2.
No case came to notice in which it was necessary to advise that an ininvidual
suffering from tuberculosis should be required to discontinue his
employment in the milk trade as provided for in the Public Health (Prevention
of Tuberculosis) Regulations, 1925.
The interval elapsing between notification and death is an indication of the efficiency of notification. In the following table the deaths from tuberculosis are classified according to this interval:—
