carried out without interruption, since the indefinite type of case treated has, in
general, made it difficult to attribute results to their appropriate causes. The impression
has been gained, however, that the best results are obtained by a course of
twelve weeks (2 exposures per week) followed by an interruption for four weeks.
Temperature and weight charts were kept regularly, and each patient was seen by
the Medical Officer at fortnightly intervals.
The Clinic is open on four afternoons a week.
As has been
pointed out, results are difficult to measure, and these conclusions are almost entirely
arbitrary, but an attempt has been made to give an unbiassed impression of the actual
usefulness of the treatment. Weight charts, particularly, have been studied in
each case.
