Miss G. H. Williams, who has held the post of Health Visitor since May, 1917
left the Council's service on 3rd December owing to her marriage. Her loss has been
keenly felt both by her friends on the staff and by the mothers amongst whom she
worked for so many years. Our best wishes go with her.
Dr. James Fanning, M.D., B.S. (London), D.P.H., commenced his duties as
Assistant Medical Officer of Health on 10th April. I wish to place on record my
appreciation of the great assistance he has given both in general public health work
and in advancing our Maternity and Child Welfare services.
I am, Sir, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
MAITLAND RADFORD,
Medical Officer of Health.
