(f)Composition: Fragments removed from the crumb of the loaf were soiled with iron and mineral oil.Reported to Committee. Baker warned.

Bread.
(f)Composition: Embedded in the crumb was the head and thorax of a beetle which had undergone heat treatment.Bakers warned.
Serial No. 1678.
Cereal.
(t)Composition: The material found in the cereal consisted of a number of fragments of paraffin wax, 13 mm. x 20 mm. similar to that used to prepare the inner surface of wrapping.Reported to Committee. Manufacturer warned.

Lollipop.
(g)Composition: Included in the colours identified was the colour Blue VRS which is no longer permitted in Britain.Correspondence with Manufacturer. Withdrawn from sale.

Chocolates.
(g)Composition: The chocolates were infested bv the larvae of the Mediterranean Flour Moth.Legal proceedings. Retailer fined £25 with £10 10s. Od. costs.

Malt Vinegar.
(*)Composition: The analysis of the sample indicated that it was of abnormal composition being exceptionally low in those "secondary" substances which give the aroma to malt vinegar.Correspondence with Manufacturers. Analyst agrees this vinegar is genuine.

Ground Cinnamon.
(h)Composition: Low in volatile oil. The sample contained 0.60% as opposed to an acceptable minimum of 0.7%.Correspondence with Manufacturers. Formal repeat sample satisfactory.
Serial No. 1685.
A ngelica.
(w)Composition: Contained the colour Blue VRS which is no longer permitted in Britain.Correspondence with Importers. Re-exported to France.
