HEALTH SERVICES ADMINISTERED BY
KENT COUNTY COUNCIL.
(a) Tuberculosis Dispensary. This dispensary is situated
in inadequate premises at 2, Park Road, and the County Council
hold a clinic twice weekly. The co-operation and liaison which
is received from the County Council staff has continued to be
eminently satisfactory.
(b) Venereal Diseases. Although there is no centre within
the Borough for the treatment of venereal diseases, the close
proximity to London affords ample and convenient facilities
through the various hospitals which are equipped to provide the
necessary treatment.
The Kent County Council is the responsible authority for
the provision of treatment facilities and has established centres
throughout the County.
Details of facilities available, both at London Hospitals and
within the County, are displayed at the appropriate establishments
which are under the control of this Local Authority, and
also in the lavatories on the railway stations within the Borough.
