Appendices IX. and X. give incidence and particulars
of cases of tuberculosis in Bromley in 1935. The current
register contains a total of 385 names of patients notified
as suffering from this infection. This figure gives a rate
of 6.8 per 1,000 of the population which, although somewhat
lower than the rate for the previous year (7.01 per
1,000), shows a rather high percentage of incidence.
Fortunately many of the cases may be classified as in a
non-infectious state.

An analysis of the total ot 385 cases on the register gives the following details of sex and type of disease:—

Total of both types.Pulmonary Tuberculosis.Non-Pulmonary Tuberculosis.

Female19011971

Sixty-seven new cases were notified or otherwise
revealed to me during the year 1935, of which 52 were
pulmonary and 15 non-pulmonary cases, whilst 27 cases
died—25 pulmonary and 2 non-pulmonary.

I have submitted the following table to indicate the state of tuberculosis in Bromley since 1926—a fall in incidence will be noted.
