The following extracts of figures relate to work at the
Centres during the year 1935:—
(a) The total number of attendances at all
centres during 1935 19,315
(i) By children under 1 year
of age 8,682
(ii) By children between the
ages of 1 and 5 10,633
(b) The total number of children
who attended at the centres for
the first time during 1935 740
(i) Children under 1 year of
age 489
(ii) Children between the ages
of 1 and 5 251

were in attendance at the

Appendix XIII. gives statistical details of the work
done at the Centres. Beyond a slight falling off in
figures at the Shortlands Centre, due in part to only 49
sessions in 1935 against 51 in 1934, there has been a
general increase in work.
The individual centres give the following averages per session for 1935, and figures for 1934 are shown in comparison:—
