Medical Certificates of Exclusion from School.
The summarising of the certificates issued by general
practitioners for the exclusion of children from school gives
an indication of the type of illness causing loss of
attendance. This latter is to be taken in conjunction with
Table II. of the Medical Inspection returns to the Board
of Education which appear in the Appendix. The returns
again show the prevalence of ear, nose and throat defects
as a cause of invalidism..
