POPULATION
The mid-year estimate of the population supplied by the
Registrar'General is 52,080, a decrease of 320 from that of the
previous year.
Although the child population of Wood Green is still relatively
high, there can be little doubt that the population as a whole is
ageing. This distribution of age groups in the community gives
rise to very definite problems, some of which will be discussed later
in this report.
