XVII.—SCHOOL CLINIC.
In concluding this report, I cannot refrain from expressing my
pleasure at the prospect of a new School Clinic being provided in
the very near future. The Committee is well aware of the inadequacy
of our present premises and the difficulties under which our work
is done. The plans which have recently been approved by the
Committee, and are now awaiting approval by the Board of Education,
make proper provision for all the activities of the school
medical service, and the improved accommodation should be an
incentive to the staff to increased effort to carry out their work
with benefit to the children and satisfaction to the community
generally.
In conclusion, I would like, as in former years, to express my
appreciation of the support and encouragement which the Education
Committee has at all times given to the efforts of the School Medical
Staff. I wish also to thank the Director of Education and his staff
for assistance which is always readily given, and, finally, every
member of my own staff for loyal and willing service throughout
the year.
I am,
Your obedient servant,
MALCOLM MANSON,
School Medical Officer.
