Day Nursery.
The work of the Day Nursery has been carried on as in previous
years at Stuart Villa, where, in spite of the poorness of
the accommodation, much good work continues to be done. I have
again drawn the Maternity and Child Welfare Committee's attention
to the necessity for providing a new building adequate for this
very valuable activity, and at the moment plans are in preparation
for a new Day Nursery.
The following table shows the attendances made at the Day Nursery throughout the year, and the corresponding figures for the previous year:-

SANITARY CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE AREA.
Water Supply.
The whole Borough is in the area supplied by the Metropolitan
Water Board and every house has a constant supply.
Rivers and Streams.
There are two watercourses in the Borough, the Muswell Stream
and the Moselle Brook. Both of these are culverted, so that there
are no open streams in the area.
Drainage and Sewerage.
All premises in the Borough are connected up to the Council's
sewers. There is a dual system of drainage, the soil drains being
