The use of the Schick and Dick tests in Diphtheria and Scarlet
Fever respectively, or the recently developed artificial methods of
immunization against these diseases, have not been made.
No vaccinations have been performed by me in my capacity
as Medical Officer of Health.
The mortality from Influenza for the past five years has been
as follows:—

The Director of Education forwards to this Department
information of illness amongst children of school age which comes
to the knowledge of the School Attendance Officers during their
enquiries, and investigation is made where necessary.
The number of such during the year was:—

Pathological and Bacteriological specimens for examination
were sent to the Clinical Research Association in 1921 and 1922,
and to the Medical Superintendent of the Joint Isolation Hospital
since the latter date.
