The number of deaths of children under five years of age was
54, which corresponds to a rate of 1.03 per 1,000 of the population,
as against 51, or a rate of .98 per 1,000 in 1924.
The following are the deaths of children under five years of age, and the death-rate per 1,000 population for the five years 1921 to 1925 inclusive:—

Zymotic Mortality.
The seven principal Zymotic diseases caused 16 deaths, which
corresponds to an annual rate of .30 per 1,000 of the population,
as against nine deaths, or a rate of .17 per 1,000 in 1924.
