In cases of necessity I have made arrangements for women going
into the Maternity Home to be conveyed thereto by motor ambulance,
be it during the day or the night.
Nine cases were admitted from Wood Green during the year,
most of whom contributed towards the cost of their maintenance.
In concluding the Report, I should like to tender my thanks
to all the members of the Public Health, also the Maternity and
Child Welfare Committees, for their kind consideration and support
in all matters I have had the honour to submit to them.
I have also to acknowledge my thanks to the staff of the Public
Health Department for their valuable assistance.
I am,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Your obedient servant,
W. E. PORTER,
Deputy Medical Officer of Health.
