The cases are analysed in the tables appended.
The clinic for the treatment of ulcerated legs and allied conditions, e.g. varicose veins and
dermatitis has also been well patronised during the past year; 58 patients were treated during 1934,
all female except one. It cannot be claimed that in every case healing was obtained, but over 30
patients were discharged with their wounds healed and in all improvement took place with very
considerable alleviation of pain and discomfort. The diminution of the number of cases of ringworm
of the scalp occurring in the borough continued. During the whole of the year 1934 only two cases
were submitted to X.ray treatment, the smallest number since the X.ray treatment of ringworm was
instituted by the Council in 1913, and only eight cases of ringworm were seen altogether, including
both ringworm of the scalp and ringworm of the rest of the body.
