REPORT ON WORK IN THE EYE DEPARTMENT FOR THE YEAR ENDED

given for the purposes of comparison.

The general routine of the sessions has been carried on as in the preceding year. The optician
has been in attendance at each session. The quality of the work and accuracy of the dispensing
is quite satisfactory. All spectacles ordered have been checked by me before being issued.
The treatment of cases requiring home visiting or daily attendance at the Clinics has been most
efficient, and the following-up of cases for re-examination has been conscientiouslv carried out.

The following table shows an analysis of diseases appearing for the first time, and congenital
abnormalities found in new cases during the year.
Among the cases of concomitant squint are included a few old cases that required refraction
during 1934.
