APPENDIX F.
For the consideration of the Health Committee.
MEMORANDUM ON ANTE-NATAL CARE.
The practice at the ante-natal clinics of the authority includes :—
Attendances.
(1) Attendance of the expectant mother monthly up to within six weeks of the expected
confinement.
(2) Attendance of the expectant mother fortnightly at the clinic during the last six weeks
of pregnancy.
Blood Pressure Test.
During the course of attendance physical examination of the patient is conducted from time
to time and the urine is tested at every attendance. The physical examination does not as a rule
include a blood pressure test, although this is sometimes applied to confirm some provisional diagnosis.
