J, R. (14.8.11). Percy Road Boys.Involuntary jerky movements of legs. Unable to read aloud in class. Severe stammering.Bad habits completely overcome. No longer nervous and self conscious. Does not stammer.
H, W. (19.4.14). Percy Road Boys.Much difficulty with many consonants. Faulty breathing.No consonantal difficulties now. Making rapid progress towards complete recovery.
H, T. (18.4.13). Percy Road Boys.Consonantal difficulties—L,M,S,T. Faulty breath control. Jerky movements of legs.Greatly improved. Bad habits overcome. Stammers only occasionally when excited.Co-operating very well.
V, W. (4.7.14). Percy Road Boys.Stammered badly, especially at beginning of sentences. Much difficulty with consonants. Faulty breathing.Can now read without hesitation. Difficulty still in answering questions when spoken to suddenly.Attendance in school poor.
R, J. (7.10.12). Percy Road Boys.Very bad stammering. Consonantal difficulties— C,D,J,K,M,N,R,S,W. Breath control faulty, contortion, jerky movements of legs.Many bad habits of speech overcome. Stammering in his thoughts (hitherto very stubborn feature) now yielding to treatment.Taking an intelligent interest in his progress.
W, H. (24.3.14). Salusbury Road MixedVery bad stammering. Consonantal and vowel difficulties—A,B,C,G,H,M,N,S,W. Faulty breathing. Contortion, very defective articulation.Great improvement during first 3-4 months, but no improvement lately owing to failure to carry out instructions.Very lazy and indifferent. Defective vision. Father also has an impediment and this handicaps boy.
S, A. (1.12.13). Formerly attending Gordon Memorial Boys. Now attending Christ Church.Very bad stammering. Consonantal and vowel difficulties—B,F,H,M,O.R,V. Faulty breathing, contortion, jerky movements of limbs, defective articulation.Did well at first, but owing to development of indifference, progress has not lately been well maintained.Would improve much more rapidly with better effort and attentiveness.
J, J. (1.6.19). Chamberlayne Wood Road Boys.Much difficulty with many consonants, faulty breathing, defective articulation. Very backward in reading.Did well while in attendance from September 11th to November 10th, 1925.Treatment interrupted owing to having to go to hospital.
W, F. (16.4.13). Formerly attending Holy Trinity Boys. •Consonantal and vowel difficulties—C,D,E,F,H, J,K,M,N,P,Q,S,T,W. Faulty breathing, twitching of forehead, jerky movements of legs.All bad habits completely overcome. Doing well.Very impulsive.
