During 1926, 229 Maternity Cases were admitted to Park Royal Hospital under the Council's
scheme. Of these 229 cases, 222 were confined, 1 had a miscarriage and 6 proved not to be in labour.
Of the 222 women who were confined, 217 were delivered of live infants and in 5 cases the infants
were born dead. Two women died as a result of confinement.
