it is desirable that parents should attend during Medical
Inspection, a notice is sent to each parent intimating the
day, and as nearly as possible the hour, of examination, and
requesting them to be present if possible. During the year
7,358 children were examined, and in 3,396 cases, or 46.15
per cent., the parents attended the examination.
Extent and Scope of Medical Inspection.— The total
number of children on the roll in the Public Elementary
Schools in Willesden in June, 1914, was 23,655, and during
the year 7,358 were medically inspected.
