In the above table and the subsequent table of nuisances
abated and improvements effected, comparative figures for 1936
are given. It is necessary to point out, however, that owing to
an alteration in the classifications for the year 1937 the figures
for 1936 are not now strictly comparable; for example, the
figures given under the heading “ Miscellaneous” for 1936
included re-visits, which are now distributed throughout the
various heads.
