HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL ACT 1935.
Employment Agencies.
Section 74 of the Hertfordshire County Council Act 1935 requires a Local
Authority to furnish the County Council during the first week in October in each
year, with a report on the conduct and management of employment agencies within
their district, with recommendations for the renewal of the Licences or otherwise.
During the year the County Council asked for reports in respect of the following
promises previously licenced:-
(1) Constance Evelyn Briers, 11a, High Street, Barnet.
(2) Winifred Doric Larkins, 203 High Street, Barnet.
(3) Miss D. Lees, 6 Lawn Mansions, High Street, Barnet.
I found these premises to be suitable for the purpose, and inspected the
books which were kept in a satisfactory manner.
Consequently no objection was raised to the renewal of the Licences.
