The arrangements whereby samples of the water from the
Swimming Bath are taken at regular intervals has been continued.
The results of the samples taken during 1959 were uniformly
satisfactory. A notice continues to be posted at the Bath informing
the public of the results of these samples.
The attendance at the Bath of a Member of the St. John
Ambulance Brigade has also been continued. This assistance is
greatly appreciated.
There is nothing I can add to the remarks which I have made
in previous Annual Reports relating to the use of our Open Air
Swimming Bath. This was especially noticeable last summer, when
full advantage was taken of the excellent weather. During the
summer months, Barrowell Green Swimming Bath not only proved
itself a first class amenity, but what is even more important, showed
itself to be a means of providing health-giving exercise in the open
air.
