In the Borough, there are 314 premises registered under
Section 16 of the Food & Drugs Act, 1955, 221 in respect of ice
cream and 93 in respect of preserved foods.
Under the provisions of the Middlesex County Council Act,
1950, relating to hawkers of food and their premises, there were
93 hawkers on the register at the end of 1959. Of these 23 have
storage premises in the Borough and 70 have their storage premises
in other areas.
Post-Mortem Inspection of Animals.
No slaughtering of animals took place in the Borough during
1959.
Milk Regulations and Milk Sampling.
During the year under review, seventy samples of milk were
obtained and submitted to the Public Health Laboratory for
bacteriological examination. All samples gave satisfactory results.
Ice Cream Sampling.
During the year under review, seventy two samples of ice
cream were obtained and submitted for bacteriological examination.
