Details of the work carried out by the Southgate Queen's Nursing Association on behalf of the Borough Council are as follows:

In addition to the above, 482 children under five years of
age were sent from the Maternity and Child Welfare Centres for
treatment in the Physiotherapy Department of the Nursing
Association during 1946.

The following table sets out the work carried out by the Association during 1946, so far as its own activities are concerned:—

The Southgate Queen's Nursing Association also undertakes the
official midwifery service in the Borough, acting as agent for
the Middlesex County Council. As is the case with the general
nursing services provided by the Association, co-operation between
the Queen's Nurses and the staff of the Maternity and Child Welfare
Department is intimate, and operates to the mutual benefit of all
concerned.
(b) As indicated above, home nursing of certain infectious
disease is being undertaken by the Southgate Queen's Nursing
Association at the request of the Borough Council, where such home
nursing is considered necessary or desirable. The scheme continues
to operate in a very satisfactory manner.
