(c) Bacteriological and Chemical examinations are made of the
raw water, of the water in its various stages of treatment, of the
water supplied from the Company's wells, and of the water going
into supply.
Analyses are also made of samples obtained from consumers'
taps in the various parts of the Company's district; all proved to be
satisfactory.
A total of over 3,300 Chemical, Bacteriological and Biological
examinations have been made.

supply was constant throughout, with no plumbo-solvent action."
In addition to the above analyses, independent samples have

analyses once per month, and Chemical analyses once per 6 months,
and the results have invariably confirmed the findings of the Waterworks
Company.

standpipes.

of Damage by Pests Act, 1949," which comes into force
on that date, and which gives added powers to Local Authorities to
deal with Rats and Mice, and Infestation of Food,
