Whooping Cough
Cases were notified throughout the year and totalled 133 compared with
69 cases the previous year. There were no deaths.
It is hoped that with the increased use of vaccine against this disease it will
decline.

The following table gives the number of children in the district who received primary injections against whooping cough during the year ended 31st December, 1958: —
